Styling colored linen shorts for Spring & Summer
Butter Yellow shorts
I have been obsessed with butter yellow this season, and I recently bought these butter yellow linen shorts from Walmart. I love the color of course, but the linen feels high quality especially for the price! They’re a fun item to add into your wardrobe and easily mix with items you already own. Here’s a few ways I would style them.
1. With a white tee
This is probably the most common way I’ll wear them! I love adding a rainbow necklace for something fun! And you can easily add a denim shirt for a layer for cool mornings, evenings, or in the AC.
2. With a graphic tee
This one is so FUN and easy! A perfect mom outfit that you can throw on for taking your kids to a playdate, but that still feels put together and cute. My tee is from Mountain Moverz & you can use code STEPHSHARES15 to save on any tee on their site.
3. With a chambray top
I really love how this one came out! The chambray makes the yellow pop and it looks so classy, but again is super easy. The leather accessories pull it all together, too. I would wear this to a summer barbeque or get together.
4. With a floral top
The floral top dresses the shorts up just a bit, but this outfit is still casual enough to wear anywhere you’re going this summer.
5. With a striped tee
Can you ever go wrong with stripes? I really don’t think you can! You likely have a striped tee in your closet already, and it makes this simple outfit interesting. I added black sandals to pull it all together.
6. With a contrasting color
I chose to pair the yellow with light blue as they are two of my favorite colors to wear! I think it would also look great with navy or pink! If you choose to re-create these outfits with a color of shorts besides yellow you could choose other colors, too.
7. With a white button down
I chose a white gauze button down for this look, but you could do a linen one, too! This outfit feels so summery and put together!
8. with a fun pullover
This might not work for everyone, but where I live we have cool mornings and evenings. This pullover with its contrasting colors would be perfect to throw on for a cooler night outside.
