September Teacher Outfits
September – the (in my opinion) most exciting yet stressful month of the school year! I love the new, fresh start, but at the same time its so much work to get things running smoothly. And getting dressed in September can be a challenge too – it often feels like it’s still summer out, and I’m transitioning out of casual, mom outfits to dressier teacher outfits. Planning my teacher outfits is always something I look forward to as school starts though – let me show you what I wore this September!
It was extremely HOT in our first week of school this year! Because of that, I chose dresses that were comfy and flowy. I actually shared a few dresses in this reel on Instagram and asked everyone to vote on their favorite – this dress won so it was what I wore for my first day!
I wore this black linen dress on the second day – I don’t think you can ever go wrong with a black dress, and especially a linen one for hot days!
Thankfully it got cooler in our second week of school, and stayed cooler for most of the month. On days that were still warm – but not too hot – I loved wearing some of my fun pants with a basic tee. I love trousers for a dressier look and this pink is so fun! These wide leg linen pants are one of my most worn pairs of pants, and I most often wear them just like this. Finally, these pants from Amazon are petite friendly, super comfy, and come in tons of colors. I love this royal blue!
My Quince cardigan is a thicker cardigan, but because it is 100% cotton it’s breathable feels good on your skin. It’s the perfect cardigan to pair with dresses! Also, I don’t mind a block heel for teaching, but if you don’t like any heel you could easily swap these out for flat sandals.
We also had Sprit Week in September! These were what I wore for tie-dye day, jersey day, and vacation t-shirt day. We also had USA day (but I cant find my picture) and school colors day.
I love white and denim together, and this cropped button down is one of my favorite layers! It was a Bills game day and I wore my Bills bracelets!
The black pants in this outfit are the same ones as the royal blue ones above. They are as close to wearing sweatpants to work as you can get!
Linen pants are always a good option for warmer days. I paired them with my denim shirt and this fun textured tank.
Besides spirit week, we had two other jeans days in September. I wore a basic tee with fun sleeves for the first one and a short sleeved cardigan for the second.
