September always feels like a fresh start-not just for students, but for teachers too. TI love the back-to-school season for many reasons, with one of them being the excitement of planning my outfits! Here’s a peek at what I wore in September!

First Day of School: Colorful Floral Dress 🌸

I always love kicking off the year in something cheerful, and this floral dress was perfect. I was actually between a few different dress options (I shared them in a reel here) and most of you voted for this one – and it was perfect! I also shared a reel of my first day of school morning routine here!

Green Mini Dress + Denim Shirt

I love the color of this dress for Fall! I added the denim shirt in the morning when it was cooler.

Purple Pants + White Eyelet Top

A little color goes a long way! These purple pants brought the perfect pop, and I love how they paired with the white. And the eyelet detail was just enough to make it a little more interesting than a basic tee.

Wide Leg Jeans + Yellow Tee

Easy, comfy, and classic teacher style. Wide leg jeans are one of my current favorites, and this butter yellow tee always makes me happy.

Maxi Dress + Denim Shirt

You can’t go wrong with a maxi dress in September. This one is sleeveless so I added the denim shirt and it was perfect.

Striped Top + Solid Skirt (Open House Outfit!)

This outfit pulled double duty-I wore it during the day and again for Open House at night. This dress almost looks like a skirt and a top, but it’s actually one piece. I love that it’s a throw on and go teacher outfit option.

Denim Dress

Simple, practical, and timeless- if you don’t own a denim dress I would highly recommend one! It always feels put together and takes minimal effort.

Flowy Top + Old Navy Pixie Pants

When in doubt, the Pixie pants save the day. Pairing them with a flowy top kept it light and breathable for those still-warm September afternoons.

Barrel Jeans + Striped Sweater Tee

Barrel jeans are such a fun silhouette! And I had forgotten about this little striped sweater tee but I found it in my closet and loved pairing it with the jeans.

Floral Mini Skirt + Denim Top + Green Tee

This was a mix-and-match moment I ended up loving. The floral skirt is the cutest print and the green and denim balance it out.

Light Green Dress

Another easy one and done look. Dresses like this are perfect when you don’t want to think too hard about your outfit but still look like you tried.

Brown Barrel Pants + White Tee + Charm Necklace

This look was simple but had just the right amount of detail thanks to the charm necklace. A good reminder that accessories can elevate even the most basic combo. I did end up deciding to put the barrel pants in my “donate” pile though – I’m between a large and an XL and wearing the XL here. Unfortunately they were just too big and I kept pulling them up all day.

Checkered Sweater Tee + Jeans

Closing out the month with a cozy-meets-casual look. The checkered print makes the sweater tee feel fun, and a darker wash jeans like these are perfect for Fall.

Overall, September’s outfits were all about balance – easy pieces that worked for busy school days but still felt fun and personal. I mixed in lots of denim, wore tons of dresses (loving the throw on and go!), and added some fun color in.
